4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Ask Dr. Molly if you have questions or want a personal session on how to best use Ask DoctorBase for maximum marketing impact.

Can scoliosis lead to infertility?

A chiropractor told me this. I have not had a brace but I have had my curve checked until I stopped growing.

It's a bit if a stretch. There are cases and I have had a few myself where patients have a hard time getting pregnant and after they begin care they conceive. But having said that, to draw a direct correlation to a scoliosis and infertility... It's incorrect. Can chiropractic help, for sure. Releasing nerve pressure off of the nerves that cause the uterus and ovaries to function can do no harm:)

I have never heard of a case of infertility ever being directly caused by scoliosis.

Your spine is the relay station for the communication between your body and brain. Spinal problems can lead to organ dysfunction just as organ dysfunction can lead to spinal problems. There is no concrete answer to your question, especially without more detailed information about your spinal curve and the infertility. There can be many causes for infertility and a healthy spine is a foundation for health and function.

Please see a Reproductive Endocrinologist for a complete check into the cause of your fertility challenges. Your partner also needs to be tested. 40-50% of infertility is due to Male factor.

If you have unexplained infertility, are under 35 years old, 3-4 months of weekly acupuncture treatments and lifestyle changes may help. Good luck!

Yes. Any stress can trigger the stress response which inhibits reproductive hormones. Chronic stress is one of the leading causes of infertility. If you having difficulties with conception, you need to look at all areas of stress in your life. A good chiropractor can help you with the mechanical stress in your back. You may need to see other professionals along with your Doctor of Chiropractic to address all the stresses in your life that can lead to infertility.

Infertility theories abound and there are probably multiple challenges that can interfere with someone's ability to conceive. Physical, chemical and emotional factors are all involved.

Regardless of the source, and even if that source is due to nerve interference from scoliosis, the body then adapts and lives with habits and patterns that effect organ, gland, blood vessel and overall body function. If a person in this state identifies a possible cause or source of the infertility but does not address restoring function to the whole body, conceiving could still be difficult until the body is fully recovered.

Hence, whether the scoliosis is the cause or source of the infertility or not, chiropractic care and a chiropractic lifestyle approach would help provide the body with a better environment to conceive and carry a fetus to term.

I am fairly certain that there are no control studies on those unable to have children due to scoliosis and infertility. Many thousands of examples of regaining fertility been shown clinically to work successfully in the whole world thru chiropractic care. Don't give up and find a Chiropractor who has success with cases like yours.

I don't think there is a direct correlation between scoliosis and infertility. Having said that, going to a chiropractor can certainly help get all systems going in the right direction and thus may have a positive impact on it. You may want to consult with a fertility specialist and also have your partner tested as well.
