Ever since high school biology, Dr. Anna Belous has been fascinated with the work of medical professionals. After taking a job at the Eastman Dental Center to help pay for college, she discovered that dentists were a lot like scientists who did some of her favorite research things — diagnose, treat and analyze results.

Dentistry is on the potential career list of at least one girl in the Ladies Attaining Self-Sufficiency pilot program, whose members visited Contemporary Dentistry in Brighton last week to learn about the field — and to get their teeth cleaned.
