4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Lump

I noticed a lump inside my vagina. It is swollen, redness, with slight discomfort. I'm thinking it is a cyst. What can I do to get relief?

I find that the homeopathic remedy STAPHASAGRIA can be helpful for this type of cyst, especially if there was any issue with a fight with boyfriend or spouse. Take 3 pellets daily. You can also do a sitz bath, where you sit just your pelvis in warm water, with epsom salts from the drug store. You can sit in a bath but it's better to just submerge the pelvis in a big rubbermaid tote box.
I just wanted to let everyone know, it has started draining today. I've been keeping gauze over it. It's been draining since about 9am and still draining I've changed the gauze about 6 times so far. How long long do you think it'll keep draining for? And it's got a lot of relief from draining but now it's sore.

It's a Bartholin's cyst. You need to use sitz-baths, to promote drainage. The water should not be hot, but fairly warm. These soaks should be done for 10-12 minutes, 3 times daily. For the current state of the cyst you have displayed, this treatment is all that is needed.. You do not have an abscess. If you will experience cyst enlargement, sharp and pulsating pain, temperature, and other apparent signs of abscess, you must see a doctor for a full surgical drainage with further incisions of antibiotics to prevent recurrent cysts.
May be Bartholin cyst. Sit in warm water10-15 minutes twice a day. Put some salt in the water. If no change or getting worse then will need pelvic exam

the most important thing in medicine is to make the right diagnosis.

The best initial course of action would be to have a sitz bath with very warm water for a few days. If it worsens you need to be seen.

What causes the vulvar abscesses?

It looks like a vulvar abscess. Warm soaks or sitz baths will help. You can try pain relievers too. If it doesn't improve or gets worse, you will need treatment such as antibiotics or minor surgery to drain the infection.
