I treat many adults with braces. the choices are better than ever. traditional braces are usually better, faster and cheaper. Aligner type braces are good for selected cases. You are not too old and this may be an important event in your life. I have only had one adult patient who said she would not have done it again.

38 years old, 12 years old , 75 years old... What they all have in common is that as long as their oral health is stable, aligning and straightening teeth is a viable option to maintain a healthier and more aesthetic smile no matter the age. However, I do suggest Invisalign clear aligner therapy over traditional braces.
Definitely not!!! Trends show that the number of adults (especially men) seeking orthodontic treatment is increasing. There are many esthetic options, including braces behind your teeth (lingual) and new techniques to shorten your treatment time. For those reasons, we see about 50% adult patients in our practice. In fact, the oldest one is in her 80s. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, and a beautiful and healthy smile is important to you, you should get an orthodontic consultation.
You are never to old to work out or do Braces. Age is not the factor, the supporting structures and your willingness for improvement are the main factors. See your Orthodontic Specialist and You are on your way to improving your smile.

No, not at all. If your oral hygiene is good and your teeth are healthy, you can get braces. I would consider Damon system as an option but it all depends on your orthodontist strategy
Orthodontic (Braces) dental treatment can be done for any patient regardless of their age! of course not till teeth are erupted. As a matter of fact I do have many patients between ages of 30 to 55 that they chose to have braces prior to having their cosmetic dentistry done. Most patients are reluctant to have braces , due to the time it takes and possibility of relapse, my recommendation if you choose braces, have your dentist check you every 3 to 4 months to prevent gum problems and cavities.
