Your symptoms can be caused by one of many viral infections that creep up during the cold dry winter months. Many times those infections need to be treated with proper hydration, rest, a good antibacterial humidifier and over the counter analgesics.
However to properly diagnose and rule out bacterial infections ie. Strep throat I tip to your local health care professional is needed and if necessary antibiotic therapy would be started.
