"I was delighted and amazed when I called to make an appointment. Since I have serious health problems, Kathy very kindly and pleasantly scheduled me for the very next morning. As I prepared for my first visit to the office, I was very nervous. I hadn't had any dental work done in years. But after seeing Dr. Davis' website, I was already expecting a wonderful experience. It allowed me to fill out my "new patient" paperwork ahead of time, contained films of all I needed to know about the various procedures, introduced me to Dr. Davis and his staff, and was so beautifully and thoughtfully executed that I was sure the quality of my treatment would be all I could ask for. Upon my arrival at the comfortable and charming office (it really has the feel of a lovely home, rather than a harsh, sterile medical office), I was greeted with down-to-earth, sincere smiles by all. After a comfortable wait of mere minutes, Christie was friendly and sweet as she guided me into a sun-filled room to meet Dr. Davis. He was smiling warmly, and took the time to acknowledge my "personhood" before seating me and dealing with my "patienthood." Then followed a gentle, thorough examination, questions, answers (on both sides of the conversation), and a tentative treatment and referral plan, to be adapted if necessary following x-rays (which were a comfortable experience, even the Star Trek-like futuristic panoramic machine). Christie was gentle and friendly, speaking with me entertainingly while impressions were taken, and giving me advance notice (so as not to startle me) each time she was about to do anything inside my mouth. I received a referral to an oral surgeon the same day so I could schedule a meeting with him. It is the first dental experience I've ever had where I was sorry to have to leave. I love the respect for the staff that is demonstrated by the office being closed for a full hour during lunchtime, and the 4-day week. Dr. Davis doesn't greedily over-schedule (so many patients that you feel as if you are on a conveyor belt). To sum up: from Dr. Davis and his staff, expect kindness, gentleness, all the most current (reliable) advances in dentistry (his FAGD shows that he continues to learn his craft).
