4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Be super careful with this injury! My knee would pop in and out of place a lot due to an old injury and one day I was stocking shelves at work so it was continuously popping in and out of place and it popped fully back into place (hasn't popped back out since then) and tore my meniscus when it did it. I now have a complex tear of my medial meniscus and the only way to fix it is through surgery.

do you have any other symptoms? Have you been evaluated for EDS?

Strongly suggest you get an orthopedic examination of your knee. X-rays of both knees and an MRI of the knee which is popping out on you would give data perhaps necessary for you and your orthopedic doctor to decide how to treat going forward.

Have your knee examined first, but then expect to be sent off for imaging studies. Good luck and hope you get better quick!

Because you're double jointed, your ligaments are loose. What you are experiencing is your patella slipping in and out of place. Your patella ( knee cap) is held in place while you bend your knees with ligaments and muscles. Since your ligaments are loose and may tighten slightly when you are middle age, your patella requires secondary support.

I would start with physical therapy for closed chain strengthening which allows you to develop your quadriceps muscle without irritating your patella.Kiniesio taping, McConnel taping or a high quality patella brace such as Bauerfiend can give you significant relief. Arch supports reduces pronation of your foot which reduces mak tracking of the patella. Initially should be worn in all foot wear. Don't need custom orthotics, over the counter works fine and are significantly cheaper.

For discomfort due to inflammation, advil or Aleve , glucosamine with chondroitin sulfate, and omega3 fatty acids all can also be purchased over the counter. Ice! Is your best friend.Frozen peas or fill Dixie cups with water freeze them, then tear the top and rub the painful area. Various compounds can be ordered specifically for you but requires a prescription.

If you continue to be symptomatic after 6 months, visit your orthopedic surgeon who may recommend a realignment procedure .Newer minimally invasive procedures with quicker rehab, less post op pain and better results are now available. Good luck you will be fine but it takes time and work.
