4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Ask Dr. Molly if you have questions or want a personal session on how to best use Ask DoctorBase for maximum marketing impact.

Unexplained pelvic pain

I've been having pain in my navel, pain on my left side of my pelvis that worsens before my menstrual cycle. The pain radiates down my back to my leg. I have pain before during and after my menstrual cycle. It even hurts sometimes when I have an orgasm. No one has been able to tell me what's going on.

I agree with the previous comments about the importance in having a full gynecology workup. The workup will eliminate the possibility that there is something mechanically wrong in the pelvic area. While the workup may provide answers about your problem, it may not resolve the pain or underlying condition. Acupuncture is effective in treating all forms of pain, and it is more effective than Western medicine in treating "mysterious" pain. An acupuncturist will treat both the symptoms and the underlying condition.
You need a complete gyn. work up, including a transvaginal sonogram by a competent gyn. as there are several possibilities: beginning with Pelvic Endometriosis, Subchronic, or Chronic pelvic Infection with, or without pelvic adhesions, some kind of L adnexal pathology, including various ovarian tumors, chr. adnexal masses, etc. You might even need a Diagnostic Laparoscopy, unless the previously mentioned procedures would clarify the diagnosis!

This could be endometriosis or adhesions and the only way to tell is to have a diagnostic laparoscopy. If you don't want to have surgery, you could see if the pill makes the pain better. If the pain is still bad on the pill, it might be time to have a laparoscopy done. I have often heard women with endometriosis say the pain goes down her leg.

Sounds like cyclic pelvic pain and sexual-related pain. Endometriosis, ovarian cyst and pelvic congestion can all cause these symptoms. Have a thorough evaluation, including transvaginal ultrasound, by a GYN specialist with expertise in endometriosis.
You need to be evaluated by a pelvic pain specialist. You can go to ipps.org website and find out who is close to you

You did not mention what has been done so far to evaluate this problem. I would recommend you see your gyn for an exam and ultrasound.
