I had a miscarriage of a pregnancy as a result of a sexual assault a few years ago, neither of which was never reported to my doctor. I am moving and getting a new gynecologist, and I was wondering if there are any physical symptoms of a miscarriage that my gynecologist would notice, as I would really rather not explain that I had previously had a miscarriage and the circumstances behind it. I was probably about a month and a half into the pregnancy at the time of the miscarriage.

Post-Miscarriage--Physical Symptoms?
I always advocate being honest and open with your doctor. But this is completely up to you. There will not likely be any evidence of prior miscarriage on your exam. the history of sexual assault can be helpful as many victims of this crime are more uncomfortable with exams and if your provider knows this, I would hope they would proceed slower with much more verbal communication and understanding.
