Vitamin C
Unlikely. I haven't met negative feedback about the acceptable doses of vitamin C in pregnancy. The maximum dosage of the ascorbic acid for an average weighed adult woman is 500 mg/day. So too, in pregnancy. Often, the perinatologists would prescribe 1000-2000mg vit C per day if there is a high risk of mother-to-fetus pesky infection (such as CMV, or toxoplasmosis). That is to say, the miscarriage you describe hasn't been induced by vitamin C per se, but rather by the cause for what vitamin C was indicated or prescribed.
I have not heard that, because if you really did take too much, you would just have diarrhea, but that's at very large doses, like 10grams. Most people take 1-2 grams daily for health.. Please try to eat a lot of vitamin C foods to support your baby's skin and immune system: fruit, mangoes, tomatoes, etc.
