4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

is this a cyst?

Hi I have a lump inbetween my leg and vagina. Today I was laying down and when I moved my leg it popped and a brownish liquid came out. It stopped after a few minutes and than when I touched it it felt hard underneath. Will this go away on its own or should I see a doctor?

That sounds like a common vaginal cyst called a Bartholin's duct cyst. They are not caused by STDs but they can be very painful if they get large. If it reoccurs you should see your doctor. Warm moist compresses, antibiotics or draining the cyst are common treatments.

This should go away - probably a Bartholin cyst

Yes, you are right. Probably a cyst and it will probably go away on its own. But, it may also come back. I'd see your doctor to be sure. In the meantime, have a seat in a warm bath. It'll make you feel better and the cyst heal faster.

Best of luck!

Wow! You should definitely see your doctor! If this was a non-painful lump, it could have been a sebaceous cyst which could come back twice as large. If it was a painful lump, then all bets are off. An infection? Endometriosis? Bubonic Plague? Clean it off with some peroxide and a little alcohol. Put some heat on it. Keep it covered with some gauze for now until you get into the office. It might have been a simple foliculitis pimple and will now go away, but why chance it?
