4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Worried

I had sex, without a condom (It's dangerous, I know). I thought I had a UTI, so I drank a lot of water and when I went to the doctor's office about a week later, my results told me that I was healthy and that I was not pregnant. I am still worried though because my period was light. I only bled a lot during one night. I changed my tampon every 3 hours and every time it was only about half full (except for that 1 night when I bled through). Should I be worried about being pregnant?

Light period can happen at any time and does not have to reflect a change. Most likely no pregnancy. However I am more concerned about your using tampons because they can lead to a very serious infection. Is healthier to use pads.

The UTI alone can cause changes in your period. Having a pregnancy test a week after the unprotected intercourse is not informative, as the HCG can be detected in urine or blood after implantation, which occurs on average 9 days (range 6-12 days) after fertilization. You need to retest.
whether a pregnancy test is positive or not depends upon where you are in your menstrual cycle when it was run.

It also depends upon when you had the unprotected intercourse, and whether it was at the time of ovulation.

If you want to be completely sure, you need to run another pregnancy test
