I had my normal period April 14th through 18th. Then a week later I started to bleed again spotting at first then bright red blood accompanied by lower back pain cramps cravings and fatigue. The bleed has been going on for 9 days straight with small clots and had not stopped thus far as of May 3rd what could possibly be wrong?

bleeding

You need to be seen by the specialist ASAP for one of the plausible reasons: polyps, pregnancy, myoma (most likely, the intramural and submucous type), Halbans syndrome (persistent yellow corpus), wrong HRT, coagulation disorders, uterine arterial-venous fistulas, adenomiosis, etc. The routine package of exams would include hysteroscopy, curettage, followed by the antibacterial treatment. Best of luck.

After you get examined
it can be decided if you
have fibroids or abnormal
hormonal bleeding.
Then the problem can
be treated.

There are 2 basic categories for abnormal bleeding that you describe: there is either a hormone imbalance or something physically wrong. Question arises if this could be pregnancy related: miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, other? Get a pregnancy test and see the doctor immediately if positive. Otherwise, you need to see the doctor to have an examination, labs and possible ultrasound to see what is causing this and to get treatment to regulate your periods.
