4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

I have had a red and inflamed vagina inner lips for about two months now. I got tested for stds before I had unprotected sex and about a month after I had unprotected sex all my test came back negative. About a month after unprotected sex I had flu like symptoms. I was given a two diflucian before unprotected sex which didn't do anything and tested for yeast and bv after unprotected sex both negative. I was given clotrimazole this hasn't worked, any ideas?

This has to be treated more

thoroughly, and a biopsy

should not be needed.
This looks like either a contact dermatitis or a yeast infection. Either way I would recommend two weeks use of generic Lotrisone cream and if you do not have significant improvement in your symptoms then a biopsy. There is nothing in the photo that screams out sexually transmitted infection. Good luck.
The redness is nonspecific. The best is to see aGyn doctor for a pelvic exam.

Your description is a little confusing. Let me see if I get this right: you have had this redness for 2 months, then had unprotected intercourse and got seen again for this issue since it hadn't gone away? you have tested for stds and yeast/BV and negative? I would follow up with your gyn doctor to better asses this. Do you wax this area? could it be a reaction to something you are using? are you having other symptoms like itchiness, burning, pain? If you are having other symptoms please follow up with a doctor, if nothing is helping and you are in discomfort sometimes you may need a biopsy of the area. Hope this helps!
In some reasons you submitted two identical questions with the same "picture" replicated.

There was really no need for such an "honest display," because vulvaginitis cannot be diagnosed like that.. For example. your inguinal lymphatic glands must be checked too. Would you "picture them" too? And vulvogaginitis is not only about the yeast or BV. Among the known STDs, it is only the HIV that does not cause vulvovaginitis. Go get a proper checking by the specialist, considering a wide array of infectious agents, like these:

BACTERIAL (Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, Haemophilus ducreyi , Gardnerella, Shigella, Yersinia Pestis, Group B and D streptococci, Streptomyces, etc)

VIRAL (Molluscum Contagiousum, HPV, HSV, CMV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitic C, etc)

PARASITES (public lice, scabies)

TREPONEMA (Syphilis)

PROTOZOA (Trichomoniasis)

FUNGI (candida albicans, carvajali, mogii, krusei, etc)

After the bimanual exam, colposcopy, and palpation of the lymphatic glands, a smear will be taken for the bacterioscopic and culture analysis. A small sample of blood will be collected too, for the serological analysis. Some tests will turn back the same day and some need several days for the processing. Good luck.
