4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Ask Dr. Molly if you have questions or want a personal session on how to best use Ask DoctorBase for maximum marketing impact.

What product is good for dark circles underneath eyes. I've tried many products like lighting cream from beauty supply stores and nothings worked.

I am sorry you are having such a bad problem with this. This must be frustrating. I am sure that you have tried multiple lotions and potions and nothing seems to work. As some of the docs have mentioned, it is multi factorial and variety of more aggressive treatments are avail from lasers, fillers, and surgergical options.
Dark undereye circles could be from a multitude of factors from genetics, to hollowing, to pigmentation. Options depend on the cause for those circles. One option is to use a filler such as Belotero or Restylane underneath the eyes to plump the region. This results in improved volume and brightening. Other options include lightening agents if dark circles are related to hyperpigmentation. WHile there are many products such as Vitamin K, hydroquinone and vitamin results, improvement can be subtle.

Lasers can be used in primarily lighter skin types to brighten the skin and stimulate collage. Lasers however should be used with caution in ethnic skin and RF device such as e Matrix may be safer. WE invite you to a complimentary consultation to evaluate your dark circles
We have tried many different products over the years and the one that our patients have been most satisfied with is called Teamine (R). The product is available nationally and you should be able to find an office near you that carries it.
We offer the Obagi Skin Care line here in our office. Obagi offers a couple of products that helps with skin lightening and dark circles. We will need to evaluate your skin in person. Please call our office to make an appointment.
The best procedure to perform is the Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty, due to you already tried with some other procedures without any improvement, please share some pictures to evalate you and give you the best medical advice.

Dark circles under the eyes are usually created from a combination of shadowing from a deep groove (tear trough), hyper-pigmentation and/or thin skin. If skin care does not work, a mild tear trough could be smoothed with a filler, or a moderate to severe tear trough could be corrected surgically with a lower eyelid blepharoplasty.
Neotensil will give you a nice result which may last 4 to 6 hours for $500.00.

Different shades of make-up will help a little.

A lower blepharoplasty will give you a much longer lasting result.

That is part of the problem with cosmeceuticals. They will work to some degree, but rarely to the degree you desire. Still, they are helpful.

Often a combination of things works better. At your age you are unlikely to need surgery. Depending on your specific anatomy, fillers may or may not be helpful. Lasering or chemical peels may be more helpful.

If it is really skin color and not a shadow from a fat pocket then makeup is the answer. Actually, I saw an interesting technique by a young woman on the internet where she used a red lipstick as a base ( it covers the dark) and then a skin shade over. Bleaches and creams don't do much, and I do not like fillers --- often they make it worse.
Dark circles can be caused by a few different things. At your age it might be more of a shadow that is being caused by the relationship of your eyelid and bone that surrounds the eye. If so, injectable fillers like Restylane work great.
