4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Quite possibly - but there is so much more to the question. The parameters you've listed are definitely within the range of contact lens products available in the market, in fact there are several manufacturers products to choose from. However, the health of your eyes is the determining factor in whether contact lenses are a good, smart idea for your particular eyes. Contact lenses are not one-size-fits-all. The type of plastic they are made from, the frequency with which you would like to wear them (all day every day? or just for weekends and sports?), any allergy or product sensitivites you may have are among the many factors which must be evaluated before you can receive a yes or no answer to your question. My recommendation is that you schedule a contact lens evaluation with your eye doctor and get the answer as it specifically relates to you!

What will be more of a determining factor rests in the corneal curvature which can be reported in

- mm of radius or

- diopters of lens power
Michael Brenner
Try them before you buy them. The answer is you 'can' but the vision may not be as good as your glasses. And will they be comfortable? See your optometrist for a contact lens trial.
Chris Surdykowski
Yes, but you must be properly fit in them.
Spectacle parameters alone provide inadequuate data to answer your question. You need a real consultation. Corneal curvatures, topography, health of cornea and conjunctiva are all unknowns here. It's simply not the kind of question that can be answered adeqately in this venue.

The information you have provided is only a part of what determines if you will do well in contacts, but from what your information shows you can certainly be evaluated. The only thing we can really tell you from the numbers you have provided is that there are contact lenses available. If the other factors such as tear production, lens tolerance, allergies, your ability to handle lenses, and the environment you are most often in, are all working in your favor, you will most likely enjoy wearing contacts.

The optical parameters you provided are within the range of currently manufactured soft contact lenses. Other factors need to be evaluated to determine if you are a suitable contact lens patient: corneal shape, tear production and viscosity. smoking status, toking status, hydration and age. amongst other factors Other than the optics of the fitthe patient brings many variables that will impact successful fit. These need to be evaluated by an experienced contact lens fitter such as an Optometric Physician or Ophthalmologist.
Douglas Smith
Yes but first you need to be fit for the lenses.
Yes. That is a routine prescription for contact lenses. Please see your eye doctor.
Eric Knight
Yes, CL's matching these parameters can be made. Can you wear this Rx? The answer to that question requires an examination and fitting of a trial contact lens.
