I am a 60 year old male and I have BPH. I've been on medication (tamsulosin and dutasteride) for 2 years with no relieve of symptoms. Considering my surgical options which operation is better in terms of side effects and overall improvement of symptoms photoselective vaporization of the prostate (green light laser prostatectomy), transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) or transurethral microwave thermotherapy (TUMT). And is there any option that is better than what i have mentioned.

Most of my patients do great with the standard TURP. A green light when done well should be equivalent. I do not recommend tumt for most of my patients.
You should probably have urodynamic testing to make sure your bladder function is okay and you are truly blocked from your prostate if you are not these procedures may not help at all.
