4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Ask Dr. Molly if you have questions or want a personal session on how to best use Ask DoctorBase for maximum marketing impact.

Missed period?

I'm 18 and very underweight so my menstrual cycle has always been a bit off, but I had unprotected sex and about a week later got the depo-provera birth control shot and a pregnancy test with a negative result. It's been 21 days since then and I have missed my period by about a 2 weeks, is it possible that the pregnancy test was too soon and I'm pregnant? Or that the depo shot caused my period to be late?

If you wait one more week and do another pregnancy test and it is negative, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. It is difficult to say if the Depot Provera caused your period to be late or if it is stress or something else.

It is likely that the depo shot made your period late. but you should get a pregnancy test , just in case.

It is most likely due to the DepoProvera, but I agree with the other doctor to get a pregnancy test.

When I stopped taking Depo, it took almost 2 years for my period to come back, let alone have a fertile cycle. It's a VERY strong hormone and you are probably not pregnant.

I found when I went on depo-provera it screwed my period up too

I was also on the depo when I was 16 and had my first baby I'm 26 now no longer on it. When I got my depo the first time I missed my periods. I have irregular periods. You probably did the test too soon, talk to a doctor about it.
