4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Lump on Side of Neck

Recently I've developed a 'lump' of sorts towards the side of my neck. It feels like a swollen muscle, but it's also very hard and somewhat rough feeling. I cannot move it, but the muscle on the other side in the same area can't move either, but that one's normal. I can move my neck normally, and the 'lump' is very tender. I don't think it's a swollen lymph node, either. Is this just a 'knot' or strain, or is it something worse?

A lump in the neck that does not resolve on its own within about a week should be evaluated by a physician. If you have associated symptoms like a sore throat, ear or mouth pain, or a temperature you think of a reactive lymph node. A reactive lymph node is a swollen node that is responding to an infection, either viral or bacteria.

A mass that last longer and becomes painful, or one that is hard is concerning for a possible tumor and should be evaluated by a qualified physician.

Most neck lumps are either related to infection or are tumors. Don't neglect it. You need to be checked by physician with appropriate knowledge, generally ENT doctor
