4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

I'm not sure if I should be worried

I'm having extreme pain in my chest and upper back. It's a dull pain I can't really explain but it hurts. I haven't hurt myself recently. I have had a headache for about 2 weeks and have been recently coughing and throwing up. I had been drinking a drink, I didn't realize had a very large amount of sodium in and have switched away from it. It's been going on for weeks and just seems to be getting worse. I don't know if I should be worried or wait for it to figure out itself.

At 23, I woun't worry so much about a heart attack except you have familial hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) or adolescent hypertrophic aortic stenosis. Pain around the tip of the left shoulder blade, especially after a fatty meal associated with coughing and throwing up, would suggest gall bladder problem.

The only way to ascertain the diagnosis is have a physician fully evaluate you. Pay attention to the color of your eyes, stool and urine as well as what makes the pain better or worse, plus weight changes. Your doctor will appreciate that set of information.
There is no substitute for a complete history and examination by a physician. They will help you get to the bottom of this. Seek professional assistance as soon as you can.

Best wishes.

I agree, given your symptoms and the duration, you need to be seen by a physician. The important thing is to ensure that you do not have any physical issue causing the problem, which can be detrimental to your health. After physical, assessment is completed and if no etiology is determined, psychological mental stressors can also manifest with your sypmtoms. Seek help and get better.
After being sick for two weeks,it's time to seek professional help.See your Primary Care Doc or go in for a work-up at an out-patient clinic.I think you need a careful history, physical exam, and labs/x-ray as the presentation dictates.Bottom line...go get seen.

You could have a serious medical problem. Pain is the body telling you something is wrong. Severe pain is particularly concerning. See a physician immediately and be sure to explain that you were drinking a drink with a lot of sodium. Checking a sodium level and other electrolytes is very important.
