4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Vitamins

Hi,

Is it ok to take spirulina and multivitamins together? I heard that too much of vitamin A may increase osteoporosis risk. So my spirulina pills give me 70% of vitamin A and my multivitamins pills an other 70% is it safe to use both? Thanks a lot.

Spirulina and multivitamins have different forms of the Vitamin A, and I believe that Spirulina does not contain any Vit. A in the form of beta carotene whatsoever, so you are perfectly safe to take both of them together! :)

Plants do not actually contain Vitamin A. They do contain the elements for the body to create Vitamin A, but this will not produce toxicity unless you use very large amounts. Exceeding the RDA is typically not a problem anyway but especially not in this way.

The key piece of information here, is whether or not the Vitamin A is in the form of beta-carotene. If so you have absolutely nothing to worry about. This form of Vitamin A requires conversion by the liver to become activated for the body's optimal use. The other piece of understanding required is a working knowledge of what the % actually represents. The R.D.A. values were originally established in the late 1960-1970 time period and were intended to prevent "old third world" conditions like rickets, osteomalacia, scurvy, etc. The current RDA values haven't been updated to take into consideration the current devaluation of vitamin concentration in our food supply, etc. Bottom line, with these levels, nothing to be concerned about from an Osteoporosis or other condition standpoint.

You're actually likely not converting any of these two things to useable Vitamin A. I would recommend Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil or desiccated liver supplement to increase Vitamin A, other fat soluable vitamins, as well as vitamin and mineral cofactors needed to properly metabolize Vitamin A.

In terms of osteoporosis, this is a disease caused by hormonal dysregulation combined with lack of abundance and balance of necessary vitamins and nutrients. These include but are not limited to: Vitamins A, D3, E, K2, Magnesium, Zinc, Calcium, Iodine
