I have pain about an inch above my belly button. It hurts to apply pressure, and I've been constipated on and off for a little while (not sure if related).

You are young and if constipated, can start with increasing your fiber and water intake. Many patients will developed abdominal pain/cramping and bloating if they are having regular daily formed stools or bowel movements. You may consider purchasing some over the counter fiber remedies (Citrucel or Benefiber) to see if it helps but fiber sometimes can cause more gas and bloating. If not helpful, you can try Miralax which is a OTC laxative. If still having symptoms, then you should consider seeing a gastroenterologist and determine if you have signs/symptoms irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) which can be also treated with other medications. Hope this is helpful
