I'm 36 years old, and this month my cycle came on the 2nd of August. Today is the 15th and it's still on. It's not even lighting up. I have a very heavy work schedule, and it's hard to go to the doctor right now. Also, I'm anemic. I went to the hospital for headaches, and after test they admitted me to give me a blood transfusion. I don't know what to do at this point.
Heavy bleeding like what you describe is usually due to a nonovulatory cycle...which is not too uncommon in your age group. You do not mention any other Rx medicatioins or your weight both of which may be a factor. The fact that you were admitted for a blood transfusion is a serious situation in which your health super cedes your work load. Sometime when you are that anemic ...correcting the anemia will also correct the heavy bleeding that you describe. I highly recommend that you get a full GYn evaluation asap. Any type of abnormal bleeding should be considered a RED flag.
