4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Yes, anytime there is blood in the stool, this could be a medical emergency. To straight to your nearest ER.
Yes you should hurry to the ER. With active vomiting, bloody diarrhea, and hives breakout, you are probably dealing with severe food poisoning with an overlay of food allergy. Other causes of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis also need to be ruled out. The possibility of your going into toxic shock is the main reason you should hurry into ER.

You need to be evaluated, black stool is upper GI bleed and red stool is lower GI bleed, go to ER and have it checked some other symptoms or test may narrow it down to few causes of GI bleed because there are many

Yeah I would see someone because it is likely an infection that might need to be treated. YEs there is a chance it could be something really bad, but I would go in and find out for sure. (Soon causes won't get better without treatment.

I would wait a day unless you feel really uncomfortable. What/where did you eat? it could be food poisoning

While your young age speaks against it being from a malignancy, ANY blood in the stool is not good. The black would suggest digested blood usually from an upper GI source(stomach or the first part of the small intestine). The Black also suggests that the amount of bleeding is in excess of 30 ml (2 tablespoonsful or about one shot glass). This is probably more serious than the red blood. Other possible problems include: infectious (viral or bacterial), exacerbation of chronic colitis, bleeding ulcer etc. Probably should go to either see your MD or go to the , If you are lightheaded or short of breathe or your heart is racing, don't delay, go to the ER>

Blood in the stool is NEVER a good sign. Couldbe something simple, or could be internal bleeding, cancer, etc.

Best to see MD right away.
