4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Ask Dr. Molly if you have questions or want a personal session on how to best use Ask DoctorBase for maximum marketing impact.

Strange Symptoms

Hello. I've been feeling under the weather lately and this morning I woke up with great pain in my chest when I sit up and now it's just turned into pain with every breath. My hands are shaky. And I have shortness of breath. Should I go to urgent care or is this just a bad cold?

I am a 21 year old female with Crohns Disease.

The only way to determine the seriousness of your symptoms is for you to be evaluated by a medical provider. If you think that your symptoms are life threatening then go to the nearest emergency room or call 911. A bad cold generally does not exhibit the type of symptoms you are describing.

Yes, you should be checked by a physician. You may have pleurisy, or underlying pneumonia. An exam and likely chest x-ray would be warranted to determine the cause and treatment.

It is probably a bad cold, but I would see your doctor to make sure it is not something worse.

Best of luck!
Yes you need to call 911. People in your age bracket are known to have a form of congenital aortic outlet hypertrophic stenosis that can get severe enough to give you a heart attack. Usually such cases are first noticed during vigorous sports activities like soccer of football game. But yours is occurring with mild exertion of sitting up and breathing. This may or may not be related to your Chrohns Disease.
Go to ER for further comprehensive evaluation and treatment. Thank you.

BEst to go see MD at Emergency care to rule out serious conditions.
