4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Ask Dr. Molly if you have questions or want a personal session on how to best use Ask DoctorBase for maximum marketing impact.

burning scalp

I have a burning sensation on my scalp and I have asked multiple people to look at it but they say nothing is there. It kind of feels like sun burn or a scratch, but my head is neither red nor is there any mark on it. It's only on one little part of my scalp but it is quite bothersome. What could this be?

Hmm, that is interesting. I have seen shingles present like this. However, this would be unlikely, but not unheard of, at your age. I suspect more likely this is caused by a slight trauma or perhaps an early pimple like spot.

Best of luck!
I agree with Dr. Semion and Dr. Cavazos. This type of nonspecific dermatoneuritis is most likely to be atopic in nature. Something in your hair products is not well received by your scalp. So, make some changes as suggested and see what happens. Over the counter soothing creams may be helpful too. Good luck.
Sounds as if there could a nerve irritation or a low grade localized skin sensitivity called lichen simplex chronicus. Change your hair products, avoid extreme heat from water and hair dryers, and try a topical soothing lotion like 1%hydrocortisone or Scalpicin, available otc. If the problem persists or worsens, see a Dermatologist..

It could be an allergy to the shampoo, or hair product you are using(Atopi Dermatitis). Start off by buying a nonallergic shampoo like Neuttogenia brand or Aveeno. Avoid using hot water to wash hair as well. Avoid other hair products as well.
