4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Ask Dr. Molly if you have questions or want a personal session on how to best use Ask DoctorBase for maximum marketing impact.

Dog bite

I was bit by a dog and I went to the hospital and got patched up and a tetnis shot. They found the dog and are watching him for 10 days. The hospital said I need to come back if I'm not sure about the status of the dogs shots by today (2 days later). Since they have the dog and are watching it for symptoms, do I need to go back today if I feel okay? Can I wait the full 10 days to see what happens?

I would go back as recommended by your doctor, but yes, they will wait the 10 days before deciding if you need medication to prevent rabies. Most likely they will check the wound today, and then call you when the results of the dog quarantine and investigation has been completed.

Best of luck!

They are making sure that the dog does not develop rabies, which is very unlikely.

The most important thing for you to be concerned about is the wound itself - make sure it is healing and doesn't look (or get) infected. If you see more swelling, redness, tenderness or anything that looks like puss on the wound please have it re-evaluated.

At this point, i would worry more about the wound.

Just be informed about how the dog is doing.

Goodluck.

They are holding the dog for 10 days to make sure he does not have rabies. You should go back to get the wound reevaluated to make sure there are no signs of infections such as swelling, redness, tenderness ect.
I would return when recommended by your doctor. However, if the dog is ok in 10 days, we can be sure that he or she does not have rabies.

Best of luck!
Classic teaching is that if the dog is infected with rabies, it will be dead or unquestionably sick within 10 days. I agree with Dr. Pickholtz.

If you have no wound issues you should be ok. The dog needs to be observed for acting unusual, if he does you need to be going in to the doctor right away!
If dog is alive for 10 days You should not worry
