4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Regarding The flu ...

I'm asking if a person can be contagious and infect me with the flu 13 days later when they are feeling fine. I got the flu shot ...but just 3 days afterwards , was in very close contact with this person..

Thank you.

No, not generally contagious 2 weeks after the fact.

Congratulations on getting the flu vaccine. It is the number one thing that you can do to protect your health and the health of your loved ones!

Best of luck!
It's possible, but pretty unlikely. The reference case is not likely to be shedding virus at day 13.

The flu shot usually takes a month or two to kick in which is why it's given August September time. Usually people stop being infectious as they're recovering so it is very unlikely that someone is still contagious 13 days afterwards . Or are a lot of respiratory viruses, other than influenza, and there is a likelihood that you could've picked it up from any number of places or people. Feel better.
No,I think you are safe,

some patient who are infected with the flu virus can be contagious even before they have any symtomps, most of time they can transmit the virus 24 hours after been infected ( symptomes appear only when the virus has multiplied enough in the infected body to disrupt the organes, lungs, nose ,throat etc..)

and they remain contagious up to 5 days to one week after onset of symptoms, unless they are immunocompromised then it will take them longer to get rid of the virus and will be contagious for longer period of time
