4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Late period or is it?

Hello,

my girlfriend had started bleeding from her vagina but it was already brown and lasted 3 days. I thought this was weird so I told her to take a test and it came out negative but then she got her real period a week later BUT with no cramps. she's 19 but is she pregnant or what?

Since you did not state whether or not you are using any form of birth control it is a little difficult to answer this question. I would say pregnancy is always a possibility and therefore would take another urine pregnancy test. By the way if you two are not using birth control this would be a good time to visit with a health care provider to discuss your family planning options. God luck.
There are many reasons this could happen, but seing an OBGYN for a checkup, a blood pregnancy test if it is indicated , venereal disease testing, and to discuss family planning would be a really good idea.

You have a negative urine test. That is reassuring that she is not currently pregnant. (It is highly unlikely but possible that the test was incorrect; urine pregnancy tests are >99% accurate.)

There are many reasons for abnormal uterine bleeding, including infection, trauma, hormonal causes, polyps of the cervix or uterine lining, or uterine fibroids (uncommon at her age). So it is hard to say what the etiology is without more information, including w thorough history, physical exam, and possibly blood work or sonography.
