4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

Ask Dr. Molly if you have questions or want a personal session on how to best use Ask DoctorBase for maximum marketing impact.

Can I take ZZZQuil before a Blood Test?

Hello,

My fiance is having his blood drawn tomorrow for 3 different tests - he is very nervous. His doctor proscribed Xanax but was unable to fill the prescription before the pharmacy closed. He wants to take ZZZquil to help calm his nerves but doesn't know if it will affect his blood tests. They are non-fasting tests. Can he take the ZZZQuil? If not, can he take something else?

Find low drug prices at local & online pharmacies

While zzzquil will not affect blood tests it is not wise to take it to reduce anxiety. While medication can cause sedation, it is foolish to use it as an anxiety reducing medication. Find a 24 hour pharmacy if the anxiety is that severe and consider letting your physician know.
zzzquil is an over the counter antihistamine, it should not have any effect on your blood tests.
ZQuil is simply an antihistamine and does not affect blood tests. However, it causes drowsiness and dry mouth and can cause urinary difficulties.
Shouldn't affect the tests. DIPHENHYDRAMINE (or other first generation antihistamines) may cause drowziness (why the PM in TYLENOL PM is just BENADRYL) and are - for most people - mildly sedating. None of these will affect blood test results.
ZZZquill will not affect the test results. I would pick up the homeopathic remedy GELSEMIUM at the health food store or Whole foods. It helps with anxiety. Take 3 pellets twice daily. It should help him with this type of anxiety, which is like a test anxiety, or stage fright, or anxiety before something happens (like tests).. Xanax has side effects and this does not and will not affect the test.
Yes the zzzquil won't change the blood work
