I'm taking Necon 1/50-28 day pill. I've been in it a couple years. I just took the first pill of a new pack today. If I stop taking it now will I bleed again even though I just stopped bleeding a few days ago? Or should I wait until my off week to stop taking them since I'll already be bleeding? I'm trying to get pregnant right away.

Birth control pill
It is possible that you will bleed if you stop taking the pill after one day. I'm curious why you are on that particular pill. Are you on other medications, like anti-seizure medication? That pill is a higher dose and is rarely prescribed nowadays. Best thing would be to consult your OBGYN before you start attempting to get pregnant for a 'preconceptual' visit. You should start taking Folic Acid and wait 3 months to reduce the risk of birth defects.
Necon 1/50 is a combination of Mestranol and Norethindrone. If you missed two or more pills, you may not have a period during the month. You may also have a breakthrough bleeding.
It is always safer to have protected sex (condom, diaphragm) during the 2-3 months after you stopped taking Necon, because this pill may cause birth defects if taken during pregnancy. The risk of increased birth defects, however, is controversially reported: cross-section studies deny such a risk , whereas longitudinal and cohort studies suggest on the increased risk. I hope the doctor who prescribed you this pill would have explained you the back-off scenario.
Try not to get pregnant during the 2-3 months after you ceased the pill. Good luck.
