4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

This is abnormal,

but not unusual.

It can be treated

quite easily.
Not normal. Are u taking medications?,Do u feel normal otherwise?,there is a need for gyn exam.

The description of your current cycle is not normal. A typical evaluation would include complete history, physical exam, laboratory testing, and an ultrasound. Treatment would depend on the outcome of the findings.
Something has caused your cycle to change - either a hormone change or a physical one. You need to have a complete evaluation with lab tests for a hormone evaluation, examination to make sure there are no abnormalities and an ultrasound. Treatment to straighten your periods would follow depending on the findings.
No. This is not normal. You need to be seen and examined by your gynecologist, who will then order the appropriate blood work and ultrasound of your pelvis if necessary.

I have had 7 pregnancies. After my last was born 13yrs ago I had myself fixed. My cycle has been like clockwork ever since up until last month I have not missed a cycle in 13yrs and I am sexually active with my boyfriend of 2yrs and despite the fact that my mom has had a pregnancy after she got fixed I really don't think that I can or will ever get pregnant again

This is not normal, but very common especially at age 39. I suspect you did not ovulate this past month and now your endometrial lining is shedding in piecemeal fashion. You did not mention what if any birth control you are using this may also be the cause if you have missed some of your pills. You may also be pregnant, but anovulation would be my first guess. I would make an appointment with your gynecologist to get to the bottom of this and also to try to prevent it from happening again. Good luck.
No this is not a normal cycle. At your age there may be a sudden irregularity due to pregnancy, an ovarian cyst, a hormone imbalance, or possibly problems due to previously unknown conditions of the uterus or cervix. If you have regular normal checkups and the problem is limited to this month, make a note of the irregularity and report it at your next visit.

Otherwise make an appointment for a GYN visit with your gynecology specialist.

Sounds like a hormone imbalance. Better get checked by a gyn specialist to determine the cause and help straighten things out.
Shortened menstrual cycles are primarily related to the luteal phase deficiency. Causes are too many: problems stemming from the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, thyroid, endometrial disintegrity, polycystic ovaries, or the ovarian cysts are just some of the conditions that can alter your menstrual cycle.

You are not at premenopausal age yet. Some background info would be helpful to establish the reason: your parity (number of pregnancies you had), smoking habits, birth control methods you use(d), nature of your job, your sleeping patterns, the onset of your mother's menopause, etc.

There are four things you must prioritize: (1) recent stressful events, (2) undetected anemia, (3) PID, and (4) pregnancy - ectopic is more likely. See a doctor in case you have accompanied pain.
