4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

The Gestational Age is calculated based on the Last Menstrual Period. When your last period was 37 days ago, it's very likely that you conceived about two weeks after the period started.
By convention, whenever we tell a patient how far along she is in her pregnancy, this refers to the amount of time since her last menstrual period. So when you are 7 weeks pregnant, you have actually been pregnant about 5 weeks. I usually tell patients that those first two weeks are the easiest weeks of the whole pregnancy! This is a convention that has been around for many years. Often times doctors will perform an ultrasound to determine exactly how far along the pregnancy is and see if it matches with the period.
This is a great and frequent question. Most couples don't know the exact date they got pregnant, so the most common way to date a pregnancy is from the first date of your last menstrual period, which for the average women adds two weeks to the length of your pregnancy. For example if a woman delivers her baby on her "due date" based on her last menstrual period we say she was 40 weeks pregnant but it actuality the baby is only 38 weeks old. If your cycle is shorter or longer than 28 days days you need to let your OB or midwife know that information because your due date will be different than a woman who has a 28 day cycle. Hope this helps and good luck with your pregnancy.
