4 Reasons Why Ask DoctorBase is the Most Efficient Way to SEO and Establish Your Brand Online

  1. Ask DoctorBase is a free service for patients on the DoctorBase platform - currently servicing over 6 million American patients of record.
  2. All answers submitted by healthcare professionals (you) are for entertainment purposes only and do not constitute doctor-patient relationships. All patients must agree to this before using Ask DoctorBase.
  3. Our software and our Marketing Engineering staff review each answer and optimize your answers for keywords valuable to your specialty. It is a well kept secret that doctors (you) - not SEO consultants - are the ones who have the most valuable content prized by search engines. Ask DoctorBase "unlocks and optimizes" your content in the most efficient manner possible with today's technology.
  4. Finally, the doctor who provides the most popular answer - "the Featured Answer," gets an added benefit by allowing patients to write rave reviews about your expertise - reviews that are submitted to both Google and Google Local through our Preferred Data Provider relationship.

I do not know what medication you are referring to. If she saw an M.D., and he prescribe something for depression, ask you Mother what is going on. Is she down, blue, and feeling sad? Sometimes anxiety will cause a dry mouth. It is good you are a caring person. Spend time with her and see what is going on.

Hello thank you for your question. I have never heard of scaling mouth syndrome so I do not have enough information. However, I suggest you get permission from your mom to talk to the specialist and or her primary physician about any concerns. After getting you mom's permission they should be more than happy to discuss any questions or concerns.
You probably mean burning mouth syndrome or dry mouth syndrome, if the specialist was a periodontist he might have said she needed scaling and root planing (deep cleaning).
I know about Burning Mouth Syndrome but have never heard of Scaling Mouth Syndrome. Don't know about the medicine

I am sorry but you will need to get more specific information since I am not familiar with any of the terms that you are using.
After all these many years and trials the phenomenon of depression is still more a mystery to us than not. It is not known why some things work and others don't, and why it varies so much from one person to another. If there is no clearcut physical cause for your mother or if that has been ruled out, it appears that the doctor is assuming that her symptoms are caused by depression. They very well may be, but so far the only method we have to know what works and what doesn't is trial and error.
Sorry I spell the medication wrong escitalopram 10 mg generic name lexapro

Your mother may have burning mouth syndrome, sometimes caused by having a dry mouth. Medications are widely known for causing dry mouth. Things you can do are drink more water, sugarless lozenges to stimulate salivary flow, or try salivary substitutes like Biotene. Best thing to do is visit your dentist for a complete evaluation.
The responses to your questions are based on assumptions that your question is something other than what you wrote. Instead of "guessing" or making assumptions, is it possible for you to get the doctor to give you the actual name of the condition your mother has been diagnosed as having? It would make for a much better platform on which to give you usable advise.
