Headache behind left ear

Assuming a normal L ear, and since the pain is occasional, things to explore include if a) the pain is noted during swallowing (glossopharyngeal neuralgia) and b) if the pain is related to eating food (parotid gland issues such as calculus, infection). Sans these causes, the only other issue is an impacted tooth. Doctors who can look into these issues are ENT surgeons and or oral surgeons.

Hope your pain is gone now. It depends, if entire left side of haed behind the year; if movements worsens, if it is tender to touch, if there is any discharge or follicle or something can you see; does the pain travel anywhere, or is it stationary; any hearing difficulty; did you injured your head?; So needs more to find out why you have these pains; Go see your primary family doctor, and he/she can get full history, evaluate fully your skin, ear and hearing test and full Neurological exam; then decide if you need blood tests, an MRI of brain to find cause inside head, See ENT (ear as a cause); if Skin infections treat accordingly; Hope this is helpful.
There is not enough details on your history to make a diagnosis. You need to be formally evaluated by a neurologist or headache specialist
