I didn't opt for complete anesthesia and glad to report my experience is not so bad. Of course, I can feel the needle pinch but after my nerve is numbed, I didn't feel much pain. I didn't even know my teeth were out and I had two pulled out. My jaw was tired though and at that time it felt like the surgery lasted forever. Overall, it is a good experience. "My experience with Dr. Unhold could not have been better. He did great work and he was kind and informative. His staff, however, was less than helpful. While putting me under anesthesia, instead of walking me through the process and making me feel at ease, they were more concerned with talking to each other and laughing about how obviously nervous I was. Additionally, after the surgery, a nurse, while tending to me and speaking with a colleague, made the comment, "I don't know at what point it started to go wrong." Regardless of the context, a comment like this should not be thrown around loosely in front of a worried patient. Overall, I was anxious going into the procedure and the behavior of the staff only heightened those feelings."

"I had 2 upper wisdom teeth pulled and it couldn't have been any easier. I was a bit nervous but the Doctor explained the process well and addressed any concerns I had. When I arrived I did not have to wait around at all, they called me in and the nurses were very nice and helped me relax before the procedure. The next thing I remember I was waking up in a chair in the hallway. They helped me to the car and off I went. I received follow up calls from both Dr. Unhold and a nurse to make sure I was doing alright. I really had hardly any pain and did not even need the pain medication. I took the ibuprofen for swelling as my cheeks swelled up for a couple of days and my jaw felt a bit stiff when I opened my mouth, but otherwise I felt great and was even eating solid food the next day. As someone who has never had surgery before and have heard some bad stories I can't say enough positive things about my experience."

I like that I can put in my information online and the full mouth x-ray machine is cool, it even plays music while scanning. Dr. Unhold is very friendly and makes me feel very comfortable. The operation time wasn't too long and the doctor constantly asked if I was ok. After the surgery, the doctor called me at home to see how I'm doing and how he appreciates my business. I think that was really nice of him to call.

His skill as an oral surgeon is so amazing that I did not feel any pain or swelling from a two implant procedure with an extraction in one. I am still amazed at how easy the procedure is when Dr. Unhold is your surgeon. I have known others who did not have the great experience I had but they had different surgeons. If you are thinking of dental implants I highly recommend you use Dr. Unhold. I was recommended to Dr. Unhold by my dentist. Another important fact is that I came home from the procedure and slept two hours and woke up ready to complete telephone work from home."
