Directions

We are located next to Family Dentistry on 36th street, just east of Lincoln.

Can altered mental status be the only symptom of heatstroke? It has been over 100 degrees here for the past two days and my mom (53 years of age) suddenly had a strange AMS episode tonight. Her skin is not hot to the touch but she did not drink a lot of water throughout the day and exerted herself by going swimming, which she usually does not do. She says she did not feel overheated throughout the day, but she was also in poorly air-conditioned areas and did not drink a lot of water.

I would recommend she see her doctor today. Heat could be a cause, but there could also be other causes.
