You most likely based on your story, have a degenerative posterior horn medial meniscus tear with a pair of meniscal cyst or Baker cyst giving you the intermittent fullness in prominence out the back of your knee with pain. You should be seen by an orthopedic surgeon to fully examine your knee and perhaps obtain some advanced imaging to include weight-bearing x-rays and possibly an MRI
