Long term constipation

I'm 18 years old. I haven't had a BM for about 4 weeks. My belly is swelling and tender to touch. As well as lower back pain. I haven't been able to eat for over 2 days. What should I do?

The human gut is not designed to store waste material 'poop' for that long. I agree with the other answers, at this point if you did not have about four weeks then there's something wrong. There are multiple causes for
Bowel obstruction and at this point your best bet would be a ER visit vs your family doctors office. Your family doctor can do a history and physical exam on you and determine the best next step which might be a visit to the ER. Your inability to eat is your body's way of saying 'I can't send this down anymore please take the constipation '.
