  • "I see a lot of ads for both Restylane and Juvederm. Is one better than the other, and are either of them effective for treating the parentheses lines I have around my mouth? I am a 42 year old caucasian woman with fair skin, no known allergies or rosacea issues."

Hi! Thank you for your question. Both products are FDA approved
hyralurnic acid fillers and both are safe, effective and typically
last around 6-10 months. However, it seems like Restylane seems to
work better around the eyelids and Juvederm works best for nasolabial
folds. In the end, they are both great products and it simply comes
down to the personal preference of the patient. Good Luck! Dr. Sam

  • "Breast Augmentation question: Are Saline implants still being used?"

    Anonymous Patient Anonymous Patient
Thank you for your question! Saline implants are definitely still an option for breast augmentation. However, more women are now choosing silicone implants becase of their natural look and feel. An upside to saline implants is that you do not have to get a routine MRI every two years to check for any leaks.

  • "Is a deep plane facelift safe? Are there many and/or often complications?"

    Anonymous Patient Anonymous Patient
    Hi ,
    Thank you for your question.
Deep plane facelift can be safely performed with a high level of patient satisfaction. The deep plane facelift was developed as a modification of standard facelift techniques to correct facial changes caused by aging .The deep plane facelift also attempts to correct deep nasolabial folds. Other techniques (excluding specific midface procedures) do not adequately address these problems.
