It is the law that he must release your records. Ask for your records in writing. You should also pursue new opinions. It might be wise to go outside your area. You will need a new set of full mouth radiographs and a CT or CDCT scan and examination for proper diagnosis. You must get your original records. You may contact the stat dental society, state board of dentistry and or an attorney to assist you getting them released. It is illegal for them to be with held.
