Seven months ago, I had dental implant and bone graft surgery. The pain has been intense, long-lasting and wide-spread, and the non-dental complications extensive, while the groundwork is not even for the type of replacement teeth I agreed to. The dentist has taken $20,000.00, mocks me and denies my problems, and now refuses to complete or correct his work, has "released" me from his practice and refuses to respond to my attempts to even get my records. What do I do?

It is the law that he must release your records. Ask for your records in writing. You should also pursue new opinions. It might be wise to go outside your area. You will need a new set of full mouth radiographs and a CT or CDCT scan and examination for proper diagnosis. You must get your original records. You may contact the stat dental society, state board of dentistry and or an attorney to assist you getting them released. It is illegal for them to be with held.
