I would prefer to you take some antibiotics for infection and then seek attention at a dental residency program, community health center or dental school near you for a possible root canal. This is the least expensive way. First you have to take a radiograph and then determine the course of treatment of root canal or extraction. Extraction will be a short term fix and will cost you more down the line. So in my opinion do root canal if indicated.
