Shaans Chiropractic & Sports Rehab Office Information

Looking at your history, it lack details needed to draw a well educated diagnosis, or suggestion for that matter. I assume nature of your pain is local, to the sacroiliac joints. Is it bilateral or unilateral. Do you have pain while you sleep, specifically rolling from one side to the other? Do you have difficulty getting up from a seated position without the aid of your hands. Does the pain vary with activity? Have you had an MRI done? How was your condition diagnosed? The only safe suggestion I can offer you short of what my colleagues have provided is utilization of a "sacroiliac belt" It only costs about $40.00. It's worn discretely under you garments at the level of your hips. Its designed to provide stability to hyper mobility of you sacroiliac joints, mainly due to iigamentous laxity. Our SI joints and the pelvic unit support about 2/3 of our body weight. Any weakness in the muscles supporting the lower back and pelvis in addition to repeated stress of the daily activities can manifest as what you are experiencing. Have you had any chiropractic care? Gentle adjustments such as SOT and Thompson techniques coupled with therapeutic ultrasound, myofascial release therapy to the gluteal muscles, finished with Ice & inteferrential current therapy would be my approach. Of course wearing the SI belt for at least 2-3 months (manufacturer suggests 4-6 months, but I have had great responds with 2-3 months).
