Hello, My dentist does not seem concerned that I am stating I need a temporary crown before leaving my office for my next appointment. He doesn't typically do them (as it leaves the patient with half a tooth until the permanent crown is in). This is on my #12 tooth and I feel it is to close to the front of my mouth. Please tell me what you would do. Thanks.

Besides the obvious cosmetic considerations, a temporary crown is necessary not only to protect the tooth from sensitivity issues if the tooth hasn't had a root canal but also to prevent shifting of the teeth. You should insist on getting a temporary crown.
