Had surgery to correct anal structure. They left a couple inches of gauze in the rectal cavity and I was unaware. Apparently it is to come out after first bowel movement but I removed it to apply prescription cream. Is this bad? Will the removal of the gauze negatively and significantly affect my recovery?
