Greetings....sure, TMJ can be triggered by restorations that are out of alignment with your normal occlusion...or...if you were craned open for a prolonged period of time with resultant recurrent TMJ symptoms...I like soft/hard occlusal night guards that open up your bite ever so slightly and take the pressure off your joint hinge or NTI appliances (small TMJ appliances that open up the bite a tad and are minimally invasive if one's a gagger.
