Stitch after Removal of Corn

I am a 20 yrs old girl. I had a corn removed by surgery from under my foot before 14 days. Should the stitch be kept for so many days ? It has started to pain a bit and i can't put down my foot flat since a day.

It is normal that sutures are left for 2 weeks to 3 weeks in foot surgeries. Do not bear weight until suture are removed. Keep the wound site dry and clean.
