Back pain

I had messaged a doctor and described how my back hurts. The doctor had said I would need an x-ray, ultrasound, and MRI But he believes it is PIVD. Is this something that can cause harm and is serious? I underatand there is a small chance of cancer in the spine but should I be worried? Is it worth looking into or dont worry too much about it? Is there anything that can be done or it will go away on its own with weightloss and excersice? Could it be something else? I'm just curious! :)

Without a description of your symptoms I can't comment on what kind of testing you would need. Even if I knew what you told the other doctor I wouldn't make recommendations for care or testing unless I did an examination on you and And did a thorough history. You might consider a second opinion but should probably go in for an examination
