a calcaneus fracture can be a serious problem and shouldd be evaluated sooner rather than later, and on an urgent basis in most cases. I wonder where you received your initial evaluation, but with an injury like this you should already be under the treatment of an orthopedic surgeon. regardless, you should be nonweightbearing and should be elevating the foot to help minimize swelling. The nature of the treatment will depend on the severity of the injury, soft tissue swelling among other factors.
