Restylane, Juvederma and Collagen-related products are currently the most commonly used injections for lip enhancement, but these products have limitations in their duration of effect and recurring expense to maintain results.  VeraFil is a new minimally invasive procedure to enhance and plump lips.

The VeraFil implant is a new saline implant which is placed under local anesthesia and gives permanent results.  By using a unique membrane, the saline is contained within the lip area and moves with the lips so that the patient feels softness. This is a large and exciting advancement of any previous implant used for the lips, according to Dr. James Newman, who helped develop this new procedure.  He is also one of the few plastic surgeons in the world to perform this procedure and has placed over 100 implants. He is currently leading the FDA submission trial to establish the longevity of the procedure.
